Talisker
The only distillery on the Isle of Skye, set on the shores of Loch Harport with dramatic views of the Cuillins. The word ‘talisker’ can be derived from the High Scots word Talamh Sgeirand refers to the echo cliff which lies close to the distillery. In 1941, Talisker experienced temporary closure due to the conservation of barley supplies for food. Production resumed after the end of World War II. This alluring, sweet, full-bodied single malt is so easy to enjoy, and like Skye itself, so hard to leave.
